| Musicians, zinesters, comic artists, spoken-word
babes, rappers, multi-media artists, filmakers, dj’s, puppet mistresses,
web designers, activists, painters, photographers, ass-kickers,
and hip shakers: |
| We (the girls of the SLC pop culture underground) are committed
to helping, supporting, promoting and learning from other women
in our community. We are all different and that’s exactly why we
need to start encouraging one another, so we (the entire culture)
can learn that women have their own distinct, original, unique voices.
Separate from one another. But all of those unique voices could
be heard a lot more clearly with a gang of supportive ladies promised
to listen, scream, sing and dance with one another. |
| Let’s be heard and let’s be LOUD. There is too much going on in
our community and in our world to ignore. Hunger. Rape. Racism.
Classism. Homelessness. Domestic abuse. Able-bodyism. Corporate
greed. Homophobia. Gentrification. The list could go on forever...We
NEED EACH OTHER. |
| This is not just a punk rock thing. We want to encourage women
of all races, musical styles, and backgrounds to start rocking out...whatever
that means to you. We want to create a community of kick ass babes...who
kick shit instead of taking it or talking it. |
